Bio: Kiri saw a large red and white ball in Goldenrod, and just assumed it was a Pokeball for big Pokemon! She got shocked for her trouble, but Voltorb ended up feeling bad about it (Espurr also kicked their uh... ball) and joined up with Kiri afterward.
Electrode was expecting to be used in battle instead of languishing in Kiri's box and only be let out when they've stopped somewhere with enough room for roaming. Kiri released it so it could find a new trainer.
