Bio:
Kiri found Pidgey while she was taking a nap. Really, Pidgey let herself get caught so she could go back to her nap. She naps in the sunshine with Espurr all the time, and seems more like a cat in personality than a bird.
Pidgey got taken to Kiri's (first?) battle against Whitney (first week in Feb), and during the harrowing match, evolved out of desperation to try to win.

After hearing a fight going on nearby, Spearow just had to check it out. And that's how Kiri caught a Pidgey and Spearow within minutes of each other.
Spearow has settled in well in the flock, quickly proving herself one of the better battlers of Kiri's newer birds. She is willing to cooperate, but Pikipek was not. She admires his strength and powers, but Arceus, he's being such a self-absorbed jerk. Well, if he's going to be like that, she'll just work harder and get stronger than him!
Then he went and evolved to help himself do better against Bugsy! Rude! They know Kiri doesn't understand evolution (and nobody knows how to explain it to her) and it upsets her. Of course, when Spearow found herself in a similar tight spot, her annoyance at Trumbeak helped push her into evolving.
Then Trumbeak evolved again into Toucannon, even though he probably didn't need to, and Fearow is so disgusted with him right now.

Bio:
Kiri found Fletchling all alone. She'd been separated from her flock and after a battle gladly joined Kiri's. She still misses the company of other Fletchling but Kiri's flock is very nice and she's getting more content by the day.
When Steven found out Kiri was going to go to fight the bug gym, he explained how the last bug was harder to hurt with birds, and got an Overheat TM for Kiri's fire bird (Kiri didn't even know she had a fire bird!).

She'd seen them before! But today she didn't see any, so she went closer and closer to the big cave and even ventured inside. Luck was on the side and Kiri found the big metal bird there!
And she and her team were soundly beaten. Kiri started crying and the Skarmory felt bad about it, and so joined the flock after Chatot explained that Kiri was a chick (probably) trying to gather a flock after being separated from her own.

Kiri was trying to deal with the Spinda who kept trying to drag her into town, and it caught Morelull's attention. Morelull was just creeping closer to see what was up. After a long comedy of errors, Morelull ended up part of Kiri's group and everyone was out on Route 37 in the cold. Nobody was particularly happy.

Cramorant is just very, very sweet but naive. She doesn't know how the world works, and doesn't really care to know. Just wants to do her thing, which is eat stuff and sometimes spit it out at people. She already loves Kiri like her very own chick, and tries to brood over her. A lot. A little bit less after finding actual chick Vullaby.

Vullaby had fallen out of her nest and was getting menaced by a couple Sandile. Kiri did her best impression of big scary monster sounds, and Cramorant tried to swallow the Sandile and then Water Gunned them when that failed. Vullaby has decided to tag along. At least Cramorant isn't trying to brood on Kiri quite as much now.

While Kiri was trying to find her way around the Safari Zone, a Kangaskhan with an almost 3-year-old joey, spotted the tiny bird child, seemingly all alone. Mom-Instinct(™) activated, and Kiri was soon in the pouch while the rambunctious joey Kangaskhan bounced circles around her mother (insisting that she was ready to go on her own and have her first baby already!). By this point in the day, Kiri was essentially 'this might as well happen' and having the great big Pokemon being all caring, protective, and already giving punching lessons wasn't so bad at all.
Kangaskhan is huge for her species, and before she'd taken up residence in the Safari Zone had lost a joey to poaching. While her current joey has been raised safely, she's taking the impending empty pouch... poorly. She knows Kiri isn't a Kangaskhan, of course, but the loss of her joey still hurts, and if she couldn't protect her joey, she can protect this human one that lost her mother and got put in the Safari Zone (and look, they were allowed to leave together so it's fine!).

Kiri was starting to get really annoyed at the Spinda for scaring off the birds she wanted to catch, and for keeping her away from PCs so she could have her birds out more often. So she kept trying to sneak away in the middle of the night. Most nights the Spinda caught her. One night, she accidentally caught a round bug! And the sounds of the fight alerted the Spinda to her location.

Her spots are unusually small, so much so that she looks like she's unspotted from a distance.

Well...she's supposed to be a breeder for all Pokemon, not just birds, and if she takes in the orphan baby, she's being like the Mighty Nein! So she caught the bear.
